Star Rated License Rule Information
Based on new law, the North Carolina Child Care Commission adopted rules to establish the standards programs would meet to achieve 2-5 stars. These rules can be found in Section .2800 of the licensing requirements.

Approved Curricula for the Quality Point of the Star Rated License
Over the last twelve months a committee formed by the Division of Child Development and the Office of School Readiness evaluated early childhood curricula to be approved for use by child care programs using curricula to receive a quality point, in More At Four Pre-Kindergarten programs, and in classrooms receiving recognition through the NC Pre-K Standards Initiative.
